Ustinov International Dress Party

This year’s Ustinov International Dress Party is just a few weeks away, and ticket reservations have now begun! Every year the Ustinov Global Citizenship Programme’s Intercultural Forum hosts the International Dress Party, our most colourful and fashionable event of the season. It’s an opportunity for Durham student’s from all across the world to come together to share an aspect of their home culture through clothing and performances! Casual dress is fine as well, for anyone who would just like to enjoy an afternoon of good friends and amazing talent from around the world.
The event will be held on Sunday 10 March. Ticket holders will be served food starting at 2pm (a selection of wraps along with tea/coffee, scones, and desserts), with cultural performances beginning at 3pm. Our current line-up includes an Aikido demonstration, Mexican Society music and dance, Bulgarian poetry, traditional Chinese dance, and more!

More information can be found:
Ticket reservations can be made through our online form:

Swimming Refunds

Swimming Refunds Update:
To make the system even easier to use, you can now also request swimming refunds online, without having to visit the GCR office in person! Please check out the explanation on the GCR website for the two different ways to request refunds (in person or virtually):
Hopefully this makes the system even easier to use for our livers-out or anyone who is unable to visit the GCR office in person during our opening times!

Castle MCR Trip

On the 2nd of March, the Castle MCR will be taking a trip around the beautiful North East Coastline, and they’ve invited students from Ustinov to join as well. Bamburgh Castle is an amazing location along the coast, and has been voted one of Britain’s best views!
Cost for the coach is £14 for non members, and tickets can be purchased here:
