College sport is an important part of Durham student life. As the university says:

Ustinov Gym
The gym is located in Sheraton House, to your left as you enter the building. It contains various fitness equipment, including treadmills, elliptical trainers, cycles, a leg press, and numerous weights. Membership until the end of the academic year costs £40 for GCR members and £70 for non-GCR members. Information on how to sign up can be found HERE!
Sheraton Field
While this field does not actually belong to the college, it is the ideal outdoor sports playing ground if you live at Sheraton! Located right around the corner from the college, you can often see both students and residents playing sports or walking their dogs there. Please be mindful of other users! The map below shows the footpath leading to the field from the Sheraton site in yellow.
Durham School
The Durham School is only a ten minute walk away from Sheraton Park. Ustinov has special allocated time slots in their sports hall during which our teams can train there. If you have any questions, please contact cs.ustinovgcr@durham.ac.uk
Durham High School for Girls
Located on the outskirts of town, a twenty minute walk away from Sheraton Park, this school has another sports hall where Ustinov teams can train during allocated time slots. The hall has a carpet floor and is therefore more suitable for badminton, tennis, or volleyball than for any sports that require a smooth floor. There are no toilet facilities in this hall, but Stephenson College is just a ten minute walk away. If you have any questions, please contact cs.ustinovgcr@durham.ac.uk
Archery Tennis Club
Ustinov can get tennis practice slots here if there is sufficient interest. Please contact cs.ustinovgcr@durham.ac.uk for further information.
Maiden Castle
Maiden Castle is a collective term for the university sports facilities along the river. Most college sports teams play their matches against teams from other colleges there. Contact your captain or cs.ustinovgcr@durham.ac.uk to find out where exactly your team plays!
